I have been working with Linux and open source software since I began my working life in 1990. I started in a UK domain registrar as technical support and (very) junior system administrator. From there I joined a UK hosting company, Memset, specializing as a Linux Systems Administrator where I worked for 15 years. I have always run my personal computing devices on Linux and I have maintained several personal Linux servers. One of which has been a part of the NTP Pool Project for over a decade.
I started this site to try to pass on some of the knowledge and experience that I’ve been lucky enough to learn from some really great sysadmins. Thanks Nick and Al!
I am available to work as a freelance Linux/OpenSource technical content writer. I will be happy to write blog pieces, tutorials, guides or documentation for your site or company.
In addition, I would be happy to provide remote technical support for Linux hosting clients. I have great deal of experience with Linux internet infrastructure and providing excellent technical support to hosting clients. I can provide support on any technical issues for web servers, databases, DNS, email, filesystems and web hosting control panels such as cPanel.
Just drop me an email.
My personal website has more personal details along with a list of the Linux articles that are published under my name:
I will be happy to supply a Resume and References on request.
You can also hire me on https://www.fiverr.com/elliot_c_cooper for any short term project or documentation work.
